Outside Pharmaceutical Sales Representative

National pharmaceutical wholesaler and distributor is seeing to add an Outside Sale Representative  to our growing and dynamic team! We offer great starting pay and full benefits!

PRIMARY JOB FUNCTION



 

The key objective is to develop and maintain territory on an ongoing basis with the focus on attaining goals and maximizing growth potential of the territory.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 Opening and nurturing new business in assigned territory – targeting retail pharmacies, small regional chains, managed care customers and potential corporate account customers. Work with Vice President of Outside Sales to maximize territory potential by developing and executing individual account plans. Presenting and promoting all marketing programs to the account base.Developing a Consumer Product presence in all significant accounts.Managing the existing account base’s day to day requirements to maximize our position and consistently increase the business. Performing account reviews to secure existing business and look for growth opportunities.Establishing a good working relationship with the Inside Sales Representatives and use that relationship to build the base.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 Acceptable candidates must have prior territory management experience, pharmaceutical background preferred. Must be a motivated self-starter with ability to work with little direct supervision and have ability to provide detailed reports in a timely manner relevant to key business development initiatives and activities.  Successful candidates must have reliable transportation to allow adequate coverage of accounts in assigned territory.Successful candidates must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and ability to meet reporting deadlines in a timely manner.
