We are seeking individuals who have 2-5 years experience in industry and has a MS in Organic Chemistry or related field.Must have experience in polymer/aqueous chemistryWe are looking to synthesize a derivative of hyaluronic acid (a water soluble, naturally occurring polymer). Thus we are looking for an organic chemist that has had some experience at performing various organic small molecule syntheses. Since we are starting with a polymer, it would be ideal to have some-one who has had some exposure to polymers as sometime the mind set used for polymer synthesis is a little different. We are looking for a self-starter that is able to work relatively independently for the experimental portions. The person will be given general directions as to the types of reactions and reagents that we want used, but will have to complete the actual work by themselves. We need someone who can communicate well and who is trained in keeping accurate notebooks.
