NECROPSY TECHNICIANS
As part of an ongoing expansion at our research center in East Millstone NJ, we have several current openings for experienced technicians with backgrounds in Veterinary Technology, Animal Sciences, Biological Sciences or equivalent. The successful candidates will join the multi-disciplined division of Toxicology Operations working in an AAALAC accredited organization. As a technician you will have the opportunity to contribute to a critical phase in the development of pharmaceutical products.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in an appropriate scientific discipline. Technicians will have a minimum of 1-3 years of necropsy experience. Sr. Technicians will have a minimum of 3-5 years of necropsy experience.
GLP experience is preferred.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Necropsy of various laboratory animals (mice, rats, rabbits, canines, non-human primates)
Administration of anesthetic to canines, rabbits and non-human primates
Preparation of fixatives for specific studies and observation and notation of macroscopic observations
Assists with study preparations
Weighs tissues and organs from various studies
Inventories and archives tissue for the necropsy/histology departments
Reviews data and enters macroscopic observations into the computer systems (Xybion/TASC).
