SABiosciences Corporation, a privately held biotechnology company that develops and markets a broad range of innovative pathway focused research tools, is currently seeking a National Sales Manager to be based out of our Frederick, Maryland office.  This is a unique chance to be a key part of one of the fastest growing companies in the industry today.

 

This position will be responsible for building and managing a new field based sales force of 5-10 sales representatives located across the U.S.  Will also be responsible for identifying, screening, hiring, training and managing a sales force to achieve corporate revenue growth projections and for creating a new marketing and distribution channel for SABiosciences’ products.

 Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:Achieving revenue growth target every quarterDeveloping and maintaining sales department budgetDetermining geographic territory alignment and prioritization of territoriesDeveloping field based sales force policiesRecruiting applicants for field sales positions in 4 territoriesDeveloping a field based sales training programDeveloping point of sale and freezer program strategies

 

Candidates must have a Masters Degree in biological science or related discipline and 10+ years experience in Biotechnology sales and/or sales management with an emphasis in the reagent and consumable side of the biotech industry and experience with academic, government, biotech and/or pharmaceutical accounts.  Knowledge of the qPCR and molecular biology industry is required. Experience with freezer programs and practical lab experience is highly desired.  MBA preferred.
