National Account Manager - West Region

REGION TERRITORY: WA, OR, CA, AZ, NV, ID, MT, UT, CO, NM.  Candidates living near a major airport in Washington, Oregon, California, Arizona, Nevada, Idaho, Montana, Utah, Colorado, or New Mexio preferred.

SUMMARY: The Managed Care National Account Manager will implement managed care sales and marketing strategy to maintain, protect, expand and enhance MCO formulary access with identified targeted accounts and specialty pharmacies. Functionally manage major managed care accounts accounting for significant proportion of overall U.S. sales. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: •Work cross-functionally (Marketing, Sales, Sales Operations, Contracting) to develop alignment around a strategic approach to maximize formulary access and sales •Ensures implementation of OVATION Pharmaceuticals, Inc. marketing strategy and tactics are executed with targeted Specialty Pharmacy and Managed Care Companies •Align between OVATION Pharmaceuticals, Inc. brand strategy and Managed Care Companies objectives and to follow through on customer commitments •Ensures any negotiated contracts are implemented in the companies best interest •Communicate with the sales force, marketing and Managed Care team leadership regarding account specific programs and pull through messaging •Building relationships beyond the Pharmacy and Medical Director

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: •5+ years Pharmaceutical/Healthcare sales experience. •Direct experience in managed care account management (national or regional) with demonstration of outstanding results. In lieu of managed care experience previous Ovation sales experience and significant product knowledge may be considered. •Strong analytical/problem solving and administrative skills. •Ability to work well with and influence peers, sales teams, marketing, and management. •Strong communication skills. •Demonstrated leadership, project management and Managed Care Account Executive Team development. In lieu of Managed Care Account Executice Team development, Ovation sales experience and significant product knowledge may be considered. •Ability to work independently and willing to travel overnight for customer meetings, sales and planning meetings. •Computer skills required (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word).  •Ability to effectively present information and respond to Sr. Management, Customers and Sales Peers questions. •Ability to travel to assigned region.

PREFERRED SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION: •People management experience •Regional account management and sales management experience •Experience with Kaiser, Aetna, Precision Rx and/or Tel Drug •Experience in PBM and specialty pharmacy marketplace •Managed care marketing, brand management and/or contracting experience •MBA

REQUIRED EDUCATION:  •Bachelor's degree
