Manager (Manager/Supervisor of Staff) Education Level: Bachelor's Degree Company: Synerfac Technical Staffing Contact: Michael Fitzpatrick Email: Apply by Email Phone: 856.773.5800 Website: www.synerfac.com NEW JOB - Safety & Health Manager Safety & Health ManagerBrand New Position, Great OpportunityThe Safety & Health Manager will be responsible for managing the site’s Process Safety Programs which includes: Process Safety Management, Risk Management Programs, and Toxic Catastrophe Prevention Act Programs.  Responsibilities include ensuring that these programs achieve compliance with applicable regulations and site requirements while working towards continuously improving the implementation of these critical safety programs. Essential Functions: • Manages all of the site’s risk assessments, process hazard analyses and safety reviews. • Leads or participate in all process hazard analyses. • Manages closure of Action Items related to risk assessments, process hazard analyses, safety   reviews, audits, and incident investigations related to the process safety programs. • Participates in and leads pre-startup and engineering safety reviews. • Manages the S&H standard operating procedures. • Reviews management of change submittals for process safety management and S&H requirements. • Manages the accident /incident investigation program and assists the area owners in the    development of corrective actions. • Directs and oversees process safety related training and other safety and health-related training as   necessary. • Manages the industrial hygiene program. • Manages the Emergency Response Team activities through the SH Specialist. • Audits process safety programs for compliance and work with Dept. Managers to ensure continuous    improvement and closure of corrective and preventative actions. • Performs other S&H related duties as deemed necessary by the Director of Compliance. • Manages implementation and adherence to all applicable ESH and cGMP regulations. Job Qualifications• BS/BA Degree in Safety & Health, Occupational Safety, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or related field   and appropriate field specific certification & training, or equivalent safety and health experience. • At least 7+ years experience in a chemical or pharmaceutical production environment. • Successfully completes 40-hour HAZWOPER Training within 6 months of start date. • Preference for this position is a CSP and/or CIH.
