We are an aggressively growing pharmaceutical company looking to add a Micro Biologist within our brand new, state-of-the-art laboratory.  Ideal candidates will have worked in an analytical lab for at 1-2 years and be willing to learn a variety of different instrumentation.  We will gladly train the right candidate.

The essential responsibilities include the following:

- Performs microbiological testing on raw materials, in-process, finished product and samples.

- Coordinates sample receipt procedure and logs in all samples.

- Coordinates the outside contract laboratory testing program.

- Communicates with planning, production and QC to ensure the completion of testing prior to the production due date.

- Establishes and documents the methodology for microbiological procedures used in the testing of raw materials and finished products in our laboratories.

- Instructs production and QC personnel in sanitation concerns regarding personnel and equipment issues. Participates in audits.

- Performs ICP analytical tests for product as required.

- Coordinates the laboratory hazardous material disposal program and orders routine microbiological and chemical supplies and reagents for the Quality laboratory.

- Updates Lab Status Data Base.

- Reviews Analytical Results as requested.

- Performs special projects as assigned by the Director QA/QC.



 

Requirements: Successful candidates will:BS Microbiology / Biology / Related Science Degree 2+ years lab directly related to pharmaceutical / Food quality experience Recognized expert in three of the following: Validation, ICP/GMP/AA, preservative effectiveness testing, potency testing, manufacturing process development and validation, microbiological testing techniques (including limits), sterility testing, environmental monitoring, water testing, cleaning validation Refined communication skills, plus skilled in technical writing Experience with Word and Excel
