This position has responsibility for, but is not limited to the management and continual improvement of quality systems utilized at the Hayward site. The incumbent will team with Quality and Manufacturing Leaders to ensure alignment with objectives for Quality Systems and Validation including batch release, exception management, CAPA, Document Control, Change Control, labeling and complaint handling; and that ongoing improvement to these systems are compliant with regulatory agencies, corporate and divisional procedures, efficient, and manageable. The incumbent will drive improvements in financial performance, employee development, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement initiatives consistent with the plant strategic plan. Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Regularly interacts with senior or executive level management on matters concerning several functional areas, divisions and/or customers. QUALIFICATIONS: Thorough knowledge of applicable procedures, specifications, regulations (API, Clinical and Device manufacturing) and standards. Ability to manage/supervise a large team of employees Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Strong communication and leadership skills. Strong interpersonal/communication/influencing/negotiation skills Strong project management skills. BS in science or engineering; advanced degree helpful. 7 years in Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering or related field.  5 years of management experience.
