  DEPARTMENT: Validation 

 

 

  Metrology  

 

 

  FUNCTION: Maintains critical equipment and instrumentation in a calibrated state as required by the cGMPs.

 

 

  ACCOUNTABILITIES: 

 

  1.  Implements and maintains the company’s calibration program in all related areas.

 

  2.  Maintains calibration data using computerized programs consisting of work order generation, work order completion, and filing.

 

  3.  Maintains calibration schedules and assures the accuracy of all in-house standards used to complete instrument calibration.

 

  4.  Coordinates instrument repair and/or replacement.

 

  5.  Remains current on new techniques and training.

 

  6.  Sets up and conducts Temperature/RH studies of incubators and temperature/RH critical areas.

Education:  

  Requires:  2 - 4 years experience in the calibration of equipment.  Good knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.  Preferred experience with calibration of scales and balances.
