Modis is seeking a Medical Educator for a PERMANENT opportunity in Marlborough, MA. This individual will also work on creation, development, delivery and quality of all educational content for healthcare professionals. S/he will work with Customer Education & Sponsorship team to provide innovative activities based on efficient and effective workflows partnering with both internal and external partners. This individual will also develop and deliver of high-quality, clinically-relevant, practice-oriented robust and real-world continuing education programs for healthcare professionals through various channels for timely delivery. Primary Responsibilities:Content Management and Education Development Manages day-to-day activities to maximize pro-active contributions to educational activities and ensuring commitments are met. Partners with internal and external contributors to develop and implement content based on validated curricula and gaps in clinical care for education initiatives in various linked formats in multiple disease and therapeutic categories Works with Customer in utilization of adult learning principles driving education format and content development as well as innovation, quality and outcomes Contributes to and implements meaningful outcomes research to demonstrate the link between adult learning principles, education interventions & outcomes Gains cooperation from necessary departments; identifies and coordinates necessary resources; creates and communicates schedules; and manage detailed tracking and status of project progress, issues, risks, etc. Monitors and manages progress and completion of education deliverables through metrics and budget data and works with Customer Education & Sponsorship team to modify processes as needed to optimize group performance Use a hands-on authoring and editing approach to ensure program quality Assumes hands-on responsibility for managing medical educational programs in a variety of media that may include: video, print, symposia, interactive and web-based communication vehicles. Travel is 45% (East Coast) Education Strategy Development and Scientific Expertise Identify independently defined healthcare gaps, educational needs and priorities that align with disease states and strategic interests of the company. Collaborate with regional medical liaisons, publications managers, medical information, medical units, and health economics and outcomes to ensure fully integrated strategies and tactics. Possess an in depth knowledge of clinical data and educational needs within the therapeutic Endoscopy area and translate this into a high quality, innovative and strategic education plan. Ensures activity documentation to ensure that the conduct of each session is in accordance with ACCME, ACPE, ANCC and other accredited-organization requirements, as appropriate Ideal Qualifications: Advanced degree and 2+ years of experience in biomedical field Content development experience, strategic insight, problem-solving and superior communication skills Remain abreast of continuing medical and scientific educational 2+ years of MedEd Program Management experience in working with KOLs, symposia, print material, slide kits, multimedia programs for a Medical Education Company Experience in clinical practice and/or research AND extensive experience in biomedical and clinical writing, editing, preferable in the area of continuing education for healthcare professionals Knowledge of clinical medicine and practice required Knowledge of adult learning principles and documented application required Knowledge of guidelines, standards and regulations relative to medical and healthcare professional education and communications required Experience overseeing and managing work flow of a fast-paced editorial department, including management of timelines and budget Demonstrated experience communicating effectively and establishing strong relationships internally and externally Job Reference Code:Â Medical Educator Company: Modis, Inc.
