Medical Device Product Development Engineer

My client a Medical Device start up is looking for: Responsibilities: Design and develop new and existing high volume minimally invasive laparoscopic device instrumentation from concept to launch. Solicit input from medical thought leaders, marketing and other stakeholders to define product specifications. Develop solutions to design problems through the application of engineering principles, analysis and empirical methods. Model complex components and assemblies in CAD and create detailed drawings. Develop methods and protocols for product verification and validation testing. Lead process-related design tasks to support pilot manufacturing.Requirements: BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent At least 3 years in medical device design A person very willing to wear multiple hats within an organization A hands on engineer Experience with high volume medical device with some plastics experience Proficiency with CAD tools (SolidWorks preferred) Comfortable with all phases of the product development lifecycle, including design, implementation, debug, verification, qualification and transfer.
