Market Intelligence Analyst Work Location: AHP - Columbus, Ohio Shifts: DayPositions Available: 1Position Summary Under general direction of the Product Director, Unit Dose, provides the Sales and Marketing Department with market intelligence by performing product research and customer analysis, including statistical forecasting and trend analysis. The Market Intelligence Analyst will compile relevant knowledge from various sources and perform detailed analysis producing actionable intelligence and generating meaningful, systematic reporting. The development and utilization of statistical techniques to drive business insights and recommendations across marketing, sales, and product management are critical in this position. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Gathers intelligence on marketing campaign effectiveness, offering input on target audiences and other key opportunities. Conducts statistical analysis on direct marketing initiatives in order to identify the key variables impacting successful marketing and sales campaigns. Prepares reports and updates on product sales for management. Performs statistical analysis on field and interview data; provides data summaries for comprehensive reports. Conducts database searches for competitor profiles and information relevant to campaign audience selection. Prepares reports and updates on competitive environment for management. Continuously monitors the market for opportunities and environmental changes. Conducts complex research studies involving competitor and market information. Assists in the development of data collection and analytic tools and produces ongoing reports . Plans and implements research projects and conducts complex analyses on the results. Prepares reports for management on research results. Utilizes results to assist in planning effective sales, marketing and business strategies. Conducts complex analyses, investigations and evaluations for the company's products and services with regard to existing and potential markets; recommends alternatives to marketing products and services. Researches customers, prospects and competitors. Interprets data and reports on market conditions. Maintains "market intelligence" database, highlights information from database and disseminates throughout the organization. Provides backup to department personnel as needed. Performs related duties as assigned. Experience and Education Requirements Requires broad training in fields such as business administration, sales, marketing, computer sciences or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four year Bachelor's Degree Program. Normally requires a minimum of two (2) to four (4) years directly related and progressively responsible experience.
