Manufacturing Technician II
Position Description:
Under general supervision the scope of this position is responsible for a variety of assembly and non-assembly functions in support of manufacturing goals. Tasks and responsibilities:•Responsible for completing set-up operations for assembly, packaging and prep operations in compliance with approved documentation and QSR. This will include but not limited to line clearance, dispensing/drying, lamination, inspection, card cutting, pouching, bulk packaging, sampling, product measurement and testing, equipment cleaning and maintenance, and housekeeping.•May act as lead and/or trainer for less experienced manufacturing technicians.•Perform both routine and non-routine tasks with minimal supervision or direction; including preventive maintenance and repair of equipment and execution of experimental or validation protocols.•Complete necessary administrative tasks for part requisition, reconciliation, DHR documentation, protocols and exceptions.•Complete training requirements, including training others, cross-training with other departments and increasing scope of personal training beyond immediate strip production procedures.•Perform various non-routine tasks such as validation/qualifications of new processes or materials. •Responsible for supporting new equipment installation and validation.•May require work with hazardous materials•Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature where ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required.•Demonstrates commitment to the development, implementation and effectiveness of Biosite's Quality Management System per ISO, FDA and other regulatory agencies.• Perform other duties & projects as assigned.•Understands and is aware of the quality consequences which may occur from the improper performance of their specific job. Has awareness of device defects that may occur in their area of responsibility, including product design, verification and validation, manufacturing and testing activities

Qualifications:
Required educational background:Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent.Required experiential background:•2 to 4 years related experience; preferable in a medical device manufacturing environment. •Solid understanding of the product and manufacturing processes, the required documentation and the ability to troubleshoot manufacturing issues or problems.•Knowledgeable of federal and other regulations, e.g. QSR’s, ISO, ISO 13485, CMDR.•Work with semi-automated equipment.
