Primary Function:Responsible for supporting and developing medical device manufacturing engineering projects, processes, test and activities for plastics, instruments or disposables product lines. Works with the manufacturing team and supports management goals for manufacturing activity aimed at providing cost efficient operations.Responsibilities:Works on assigned activities in support of manufacturing projects to include project plans and associated documentation requirements.Designs, assembles, troubleshoots and provides documentation to support tooling and fixturing.Provide product complaint investigation activities on assigned items.Generates and analyzes technical and financial data from a variety of internal sources to support business decisions.Works on Commodity teams with Quality Control, Purchasing, and vendors as required on failure investigations and drives corrective action.Works with design engineering on new products and supports all new product introduction activity.Supports and develops process validation/testing.Determines maintenance, calibration and spare parts requirements for equipment.Recommends and provides assistance in solving manufacturing and production problems, including system level and component level debugging.Analyzes reports from manufacturing and customers regarding design issues and initiates corrective action.Other duties may be assigned to meet operational objectives or business needs.

Education and/or Experience:Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience. Four to seven years experience in related field with increasing responsibility. Self-starter, willing to learn and take direction.Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.Knowledge of QSR and ISO requirements.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project, and also either SolidWorks CAD, LabView or similar tools.
