Job Title: Manager of Medical Affairs

Reports To: Associate Director of Medical Affairs

Summary:  AMAG Pharmaceuticals seeks a talented individual with experience across the breadth of medical affairs activities to help establish a leading medical communications group.  The individual should have experience with creation of slide sets, publication plans, standard response letters; field based medical affairs activities, congress planning and execution.  The successful candidate will have imagination and capacity to apply technical skills to contribute to a leading product launch and functional excellence.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 

· Develop medical content for materials used in medical education,  MSL activities, and sales training

 

· Develop and maintain relationships with academic investigators, Medical Education vendors and key opinion leaders.

 

· Support Scientific Advisory Board meetings

 

· Contribute to scientific and clinical activities at medical meetings

 

· Support robust and compliant medical education, regional advisory boards, publications, and MSL activities

 

· Contribute to the development and execution of a publication plan

 

· Work with team to draft Medical Information standard response letters

 

· Contribute to team strategy for post-marketing trial development.

Education/Training/Experience

· An RN, PhD, PharmD, or RD degree with relevant clinical experience and a minimum 3+ years experience in Medical Affairs with evidence of progressive advancement, preferably in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry.

 

· MBA, field experience or other business training a plus.

 

 

· Experience with Advisory Boards, Medical Education Vendors, Ad Agencies, and Scientific Meetings.

 

· Strong management and organizational skills

 

· Strong verbal, written and presentation skills. Ability to communicate clearly with both scientists and non-scientists alike.
