We offer internal and external training opportunities to sharpen your skills and assist you in reaching and exceeding all of your career goals.Hospira Boulder, Inc. is a GMP Manufacturing site of approximately 100 employees located in Colorado that focuses on the manufacturing and development of generic API (active pharmaceutical ingredients) oncology related products.Manager, Supply Chain In this role you will ensure timely and efficient flow of materials and services to support the Hospira Boulder site. Responsibilities will include direct management of the SCM staff, Purchasing/Sourcing, Planning/Scheduling, Warehousing, Logistics, Third Party/Toll Manufacturing Logistics, Inventory Management, Transportation and Business Development. You will identify targets and lead and develop efforts to support cost effective and efficient supply chain programs. You will also collaborate with other department heads and the site management team to develop strategies and plans that support the site plans and targets, as well as insure the department is positioned to meet the growth of the site and new products.Other responsibilities:Provide direct and indirect purchasing capability to support Hospira’s Boulder operations Communicate/negotiate with external customers to coordinate supply of product Negotiate scheduling and future requirements information to manufacturers Manage toll and contract manufacturers and key suppliers to insure business needs are met Negotiate pricing of supplier contracts Manage relationships with all site suppliers and vendors Provide sourcing options for site development activities Manage the production planning process to ensure timely supply against demand schedules Insure efficient supply and demand processes are in place Oversee import/export and domestic transportation and ensure compliance with DOT, IATA, U.S. Customs, etc. Manage inventory levels of key raw materials and products to ensure a reliable supply chain and internal distribution network while maintaining cost controls Serve as point of contact and project manager for site One-2-One business Drive 3rd party business development activities and opportunities Insure systems and processes are continually improved towards streamlining of operation Collaborate with department heads to discuss and provide adequate support for site needs Work with corporate purchasing, corporate supply chain and Hospira site purchasing and supply chain organizations to manage supply and demand Prepare yearly budgets and supply chain capital Insure that proper policies are in place and followed to insure adherence to GMP’s, fiscal policies, corporate policies and procedures and department guidelines To be successful in this position, you must possess: Bachelor’s degree in Operational or Management discipline APICS certification is desirable 5 + years of experience in a manufacturing environment, materials management, and proven supervisory experience.
