Manager, Statistical Programming Icon Clinical Research Location: Redwwod City, CA or any Icon USA office or home based The selected candidate will assist in managing the daily operations of the Statistical Programming Department, including acting as primary contact and managing entire department in the absence of the Director and will assume the responsibilities of the Senior Programmer Analyst. Responsibilities include coordinating timelines and allocating resources for all programming activities, participate in departmental planning, mentoring staff, participate in hiring new staff, assist analyst in developing best strategy for completing analysis timely, writing department guidelines, developing analysis tools (including those outside SAS language), providing technical support to SAS users and evaluating Case Report Forms, Statistical Analysis Plans, software specifications, QC specifications as well as database and audit specifications. The qualified candidate will possess a Bachelors with a minimum of at least 3 years of experience in a managerial/lead role, 7 years of SAS programming experience, familiarity with multiple software products and platforms, knowledge of the drug development process (phases I - IV) and general regulatory requirements as well as participation in the production of NDAs, SNDAs, PLAs and/or PMAs. In addition, the right person must have demonstrated leadership skills, understanding of data structures, standard software and their implementation and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
