Manager/Senior Manager, Portfolio Analytics (3023933 KD)
The manager provides expertise in data mining applications and execution of program effectiveness monitoring to support BU level business strategies. The incumbent will be responsible for working with BU secondary leads as a consultative partner to design, develop and implement a consistent set of data mining applications that track and measure brand performance and key marketing initiatives.
Role Responsibilities:
Perform portfolio level analysis within the respective business unit to identify insights that effectively maximize commercial potential of s-a portfolio, optimize resource allocation and deliver values to our customers Work in partnership with MR secondary and area analytics teams to develop a consistent set of data-mining applications integrating multiple data sources with SpotFire Manage the on-going supports for these applications to reflect market dynamics and marketing/sales strategies Coordinate and lead cross-functional teams on portfolio level analysis projects.
Construct relationship models with physicians, patients & payers using formulary, call, patient, and Rx data and provide insights and actionable recommendations to BU and Area Analytics team for resource decisions Provide tracking and monitoring of results for key marketing and sales initiatives and synthesize program effectiveness Work with MR secondary researchers and area analytics teams to help ensure consistency of brand KPIs, analytics and reporting at both national/sub-national levels.
Collaborate with Sales Training in providing training support on all SpotFire applications Coordinate with BU secondary/area analytics leads to manage the data governance process of maintaining business rules for sub-national data sources Demonstrate required competencies on a consistent basis Demonstrate company values on a consistent basis Performs other duties as requested
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited school in life sciences or quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Economics, Operations Research or Computer Science., MBA or Equivalent Preferred.
Experience:
Experience in one or more of the following areas (or comparable) will be required:
- Primary and/or secondary market research in the healthcare industry
- Consulting to the pharmaceutical or health-related industry
- Analysis of the healthcare industry for a financial or similar organization Hands-on experience with pharmaceutical secondary research data.
- Prior experience in other related areas, particularly in pharmaceuticals, would be beneficial:
- Sales analytics, forecasting, competitive intelligence, marketing finance, and others
Professional Skills:
- Strong knowledge of sources of secondary information and syndicated research for the pharmaceutical and health care industries
- Physician-level data, patient-level claims data, pricing audits, product formulary information, and other sources.
- Solid working knowledge of statistical principles Knowledge of the pharmaceutical and general healthcare and/or consumer marketplace.
- Proven analytical abilities
- Strong proficiency with SAS, BI tools (Oracle, Cognos, etc.), and reporting tools is required (VBA, Spotfire, etc.) Experience developing dashboard or decision support software for sales and marketing clients
- Ability to integrate multiple sources of data and information to provide insight
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to develop effective working relationships with multiple levels of management and across a range of functions.
- Excellent project management skills with demonstrated ability to lead multiple projects and priorities
- Proven teamwork and collaboration skills
- Ability to learn new tools quickly
- Familiarity with database management issues and ability to interact effectively with systems managers
