Axcan Pharma has an exciting employment opportunity for a Manager, Scientific Training - North America in Bridgewater, NJ. This position coordinates, plans, develops, and provides scientific training programs to increase the scientific proficiency of designated Axcan employees. Specific duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
· Collaborates with Marketing, Sales and Scientific Affairs to analyze and identify scientific training needs of sales representatives and other audiences to plan various levels of training.
· Participates in scientific affairs strategic initiatives as required.
· Presents scientific training to North American Sales Representatives, Scientific Affairs and other audiences in order to improve their scientific and products knowledge and skills.
· Develops scientific training manuals.
· Develops and administers scientific testing as required.
· Manages outside vendors for scientific training projects.
· Proposes and manages scientific training budget.
· Complete assigned tasks in a safe manner and in a constant state of alertness.
· Uphold Company policies, including the Professional Conduct Policy and Prohibition Against Harassment Policy, and the Business Ethics and Conduct Code.
· Work in a cooperative manner with managers, supervisors, coworkers, customers and the public.
· Take initiative to get along with others.
REQUIREMENTS
· Bachelor’s degree in Science from a four-year accredited college or university, Master’s degree preferred.
· Three years minimum experience in scientific training in a pharmaceutical industry.
· Proficiency in developing e-learning web-based training preferred.
· Excellent written and oral communication skills with Company’s various internal and external stakeholders.
· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and changing environment.
· Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
· Ability to develop an educational approach to scientific training.
· Ability to communicate scientific knowledge.
· Ability to travel 40%.
· Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
