Manager - R&D Privacy - Pharm. Group Health Care Compliance - (Job Number: 0808906) Description Johnson and Johnson Pharmaceutical Services, a member of Johnson && Johnson's Family of Companies, is recruiting for a Manager- R&&D Privacy. This position can be located in Raritan, NJ, Titusville, NJ, Springhouse, PA or Horsham, PA. Ability to travel between sites is required. Johnson and Johnson Pharmaceutical Services, L.L.C. (J&&JPS), is a legal corporate entity encompassing a unique group of five business units that provide leadership of critical business processes across the Pharmaceutical business segment of Johnson && Johnson. The business units that make up J&&JPS include the following: Pharmaceuticals Group Strategic Marketing (PGSM); CNS/IM Communications; U.S. Pharmaceutical Procurement Group (USPPG); Pharmaceuticals Group Business Development (PGBD); and Global Health Economics and Pricing (HE&&P). This candidate will be responsible for all privacy matters in pharmaceuticals group R&&D and clinical organizations. As a member of the pharmaceutical group privacy team, the R&&D Privacy Manager will be responsible to ensure program consistency with commercial and operations organizations across the pharmaceuticals group.This position will report to the Privacy Director, Pharmaceuticals Group Health Care Compliance.The candidate reviews proposed activities and advises functional areas on interpretation of the privacy requirements and initiatives related to privacy concepts, operations, controls and proper methods of collecting, storing, using, accessing, disclosing and destroying personally identifiable information. The candidate contributes to the enhancement of privacy policy in compliance with laws and regulations affecting pharmacovigilance, adverse event reporting, clinical trial participants, researchers and clinical investigators, employees, and R&&D and clinical operations and works with key stakeholders across various R&&D and clinical functional areas and business groups to drive compliance with privacy requirements. The Manager- R&&D Privacy assists with the development and deployment of privacy communication, training and awareness and works with Policy and Audit, and Systems, Monitoring and Contracting teams to develop privacy program monitoring plan elements in compliance program reviews and audits. The candidate recognizes and investigates privacy concerns and risks on a regular basis and facilitates and maintains appropriate records tracking the receipt, investigation and resolution of privacy complaints and incidents. The candidate represents the privacy program at inter-company meetings to communicate privacy enforcement policy and makes presentations as necessary involving complex and sensitive issues and keeps up with new developments and best practices in privacy and compliance. Maintains privacy-related certifications and licenses. The candidate must have a minimum of a BA, BS or equivalent. CIPP certification is an asset. The candidate would be required to get certified within the first year. Three or more years of privacy experience with pharmaceutical experience being an asset. Experience in privacy, R&&D and/or clinical operations, information management, compliance or audit required. Working knowledge of HIPAA Privacy Rule, Fair Information Practices, Data Life Cycle Management, and Principles of an Effective Compliance program is preferred. Experience working in a complex matrix environment is also preferred. The successful candidate will possess strong interpersonal, communication, influencing, analytical and problem-solving skills, business acumen and the ability to navigate through ambiguity. The candidate must also be able to work with minimal supervision and have the ability to travel between sites.
