Cordis Corporation comprises four divisions - Cordis Cardiology, Cordis Endovascular, Cordis Neurovascular and Biosense Webster. Cordis Corporation is seeking a Manager of Distribution and Transportation to develop and implement a strategy for improving distribution and transportation effectiveness, including cost, service and consistency. This individual will be responsible for the cost and service performance of key internal partners, Health Care Systems (HCS) and the Global Transportation Organization (GTO). This individual will implement and manage robust measurement processes to optimize cost, cycle time, and delivery. The Manager of Distribution and Transportation will also manage a rapidly growing and changing company that has very varied product life cycles. The Manager of Distribution and Transportation will be actively engaged in the existing product manufacturing and supply issues and processes with the external manufacturing base. This individual will be responsible for developing and implementing a distribution strategy for Cordis&' US supply chains. This individual will be responsible for defining Cordis requirements and metrics to internal provider organizations, including HCS and GTO, to insure performance levels necessary to support business goals. This individual will develop and implement programs to improve productivity in our distribution and transportation costs. The Manager of Distribution and Transportation is also responsible for managing the transaction flow to support deployment of inventory as required by planning processes. This individual will work to understand and improve HCS charge-out costs and will be responsible for managing the transaction flow to and from HCS and GTO on key projects and programs. This individual will leverage distribution and transportation best practices with the European supply chain group. The Manager of Distribution and Transportation will maintain a close relationship with the Supply Chain organization to ensure needs are well understood, and distribution opportunities are advanced by the supply chain groups. Additionally, this individual is responsible for ensuring personal and company compliance with all Federal, State, local and company regulations, policies and procedures for Health, Safety and Environmental compliance. This candidate will have a minimum of a Bachelors degree, preferably with a Business, Technical, and/or Supply Chain focus. This candidate will have a minimum of 5 years experience in Supply Chain Operations. Project Management experience is preferred. Knowledge of U.S. and international transportation and distribution best practices is preferred. Experience with Six Sigma/Process Excellence Tools, Training, and/or Certification is highly preferred. APICS Certification is also preferred. Focused experience using Excel is required. Experience managing across cross-functional groups that include purchasing, logistics, transportation, supplier quality management, materials management, distribution, and inventory control is highly preferred. This candidate will be an exceptional, proven leader with excellent technical skills. This candidate will have strong business acumen and be capable of driving processes and performance throughout an organization. This candidate will be able to travel up to 20% Domestically and Internationally and is located in Warren, NJ.
