Manager, Demand Planning Requisition Number: 22277BR Lead the overall effort to create and maintain accurate unit demand forecasts for all Human Rx products distributed by Schering - Plough in the U.S.Forecasts will allow supply planning managers to generate accurate production requirements on our various manufacturing facilities and third party vendors.These unit forecasts must be down to the individual item level detail to ensure supply planners order the correct quantities to support customer orders.Primary focus is the next 24 months but this position will also provide long - term unit forecasts when long - term strategic financial plans are published each year.Responsible for creating Monthly Unit Forecasts based on appropriate inputs such as historical sales data, anticipated future market events, marketing strategies, and financial forecasts.Develop and execute an in - depth Sales and Operations Planning process.This will include facilitating meetings on a regular basis with Marketing, Finance, and Supply Planning to ensure concurrance with the final demand forecast for each product.In addition, facilitate regularly scheduled Executive review meetings to ensure that Senior management is aligned in regard to the Unit Demand Forecasts.Responsible for developing requirements for a new forecasting system and actively participate in the implementation of a new system, plus develop, maintain, and report Key Performance Indicators such as Forecast Accuracy and Forecast Volatility.QualificationsBachelor of Science or Business - MBA preferred.Minimum 5 - 7 years of supply chain experience.Demand planning and forecasting experience required.Strong analytical, organizational, written / oral communication, and presentation skills.Schering-Plough is an equal opportunity employer.
