MT/MLT for Midland Pharmaceutical Company

Description Our client is a full service toxicology laboratory responsible for prescription drug analysis. A knowledgeable Medical Laboratory Technician (MT/MLT) is being sought to be a part of this dynamic company. The qualified candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication and be able to bring at least 3-6 months of clinical laboratory experience with them. The Laboratory Technician is responsible for lab testing performed in the screening department. (S)he will perform the initial and secondary screening tests on samples using a variety of instruments and implementing correct lab protocol. Major responsibilities will include: • Analyze samples for the initial drug testing. • Perform maintenance procedures on all analyzers in the department. • Implement control guidelines. • Adhere to confidentiality (HIPPA) requirements (patient files and personal information). • May be required to write reports or make presentations to fellow employees or company clients • Must have the ability to work with bodily fluids Requirements • Working knowledge of a clinical laboratory protocols and the use of pipettes • MT/MLT or MT/MLT eligible. One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. • Knowledge of basic computer skills and mathematical calculations Interviews are available immediately for qualified candidates.
