MANAGERS NEEDED FOR ONE OF THE WORLD'S LEADING PHARMACEUTICAL COMPANIES
Biomat USA, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Grifols is seeking exceptional Managers and Supervisors for its plasma donor center in the San Diego, CA area. Positions available are Facility Managers, Facility Manager Trainees, Assistant Managers and Operation Supervisors.
Biomat USA, Inc. operates 63 Human Plasma Donor Centers within the USA. Due to our company’s drastic growth, we are in need of great candidates with superb work ethics and managerial skills.
Plasma is used to create life saving medicines for bleeding disorders, immune system deficiencies, burns and shock.
The ideal candidate will be working under the supervision of the Operations Manager and the Quality Manager of their perspective regions. They will be responsible for the daily management of operations of the donor center, supervising operations and quality control, and ensuring compliance with all applicable policies and regulations.
Some of the Essential Job duties listed but not limited to:
-Create appropriate organizational environment and value system which stimulates the morale and productivity of the workforce and its leadership
-Provide strategic direction, planning, and customer focus
-Perform any/all tasks within the plasma center; train production employees and demonstrate how tasks are to be performed to meet company standards and on occasion, fulfill the role of production employees when the need arises
-Monitor and evaluate operations, develop and implement actions plans to improve operational issues. Supervise the implementation of improvements
-Maintain thorough familiarity with State and Federal regulations, FDA approved Standard Operating Procedure Manual, OSHA, CLIA, and cGMP
-Supervise donor selection, plasma collection, and all manufacturing records to maintain the highest production standards in accordance with Federal and State regulations, with FDA approved Standard Operating Procedure manual, OSHA, CLIA, and cGMP, through systems in place and via Quality Supervisor
-Perform personnel functions which include hiring, development and training, disciplinary actions and terminations along with maintenance of all personnel records
-Determine adequacy of inventory of all goods and supplies necessary for center operation to include ordering goods as needed
-Oversee plasma shipment and equipment failures
-Submit timely and accurate reports as necessary on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
-Develop an active donor recruitment advertising campaign to improve production levels
-Control center donor funds and ensure that financial records are accurate and in order
-Report any irregularities within the center to the Operations and/or Quality Manager
College degree is highly preferred
Evaluation and/or translation of any foreign education (high school, university, or professional training) must be provided
Must have at least 1 year of managerial experience
Must have at least 6 months of managerial experience in a plasmapheresis and/or blood donor center if applying for the Facility Manager and Assistant Manager position
Must read, write and speak English and be computer literate
Possess excellent communication skills, have the ability to understand technical skills, and be adaptable to work in a fast-paced, stressed work environment
Demonstration of previous leadership ability
Must have the ability to travel (automobile and or plane)
Ability to lift, tug or pull up to 50 lbs
