We’re currently looking for team members who have “The Power to Look Deeper” in developing the best products, technologies and service. “The Power to Shape Your Future” We are seeking a Logistics Analyst I who will assist with the control, process and coordination of field depot inventory stocking levels, returning parts to OEM vendors, and tracking warranty issues. This also includes import/export compliance oversight. This role requires advanced skills in Excel (Pivot Tables, V Look Ups, etc) and a high level of attention to detail. DESCRIPTION OF POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: *Collects and analyzes routine and ad hoc reports of materials usage for budgetary, inventory, and reliability purposes. *Monitors vendor service and work to identify and resolve issues affecting performance. Run open order reports and contact vendors to research and reconcile RMA discrepancies, resolve technical issues, or obtaining general information. *Organize and maintain databases of information, assist in development of such databases and develop metrics / benchmarks to analyze productivity and efficiency. *Prepare charts and graphs documenting parts inventory levels results with high standards of data accuracy. *Provides training, guidance, and support to Technical Support, Field Service, and Customer Service to identify and acquire materials and/or supporting information. *Provides parts documents and accountability on pending orders and materials in-transit. *Evaluate vendor invoices, verify receipt of repaired parts and submit for approval. *Ensure customer satisfaction by communicating to in-house and field service staff, and instrument manufacturer the specific actions needed to affect a successful return of field replaceable units. *Assist cross-functional departments in the spare parts and instrument-tracking process to ensure data integrity and proper locations for tax, accounting, and regulatory purposes. *Participate in SOP process by compiling statistics for departmental activity. RELATED BUSINESS/TECHNICAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES: *Strong Excel Skills*Basic knowledge of CRM system; SAP preferred. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: * Degree preferred but not required. *2+ yrs related experience Gen-Probe offers a dynamic and innovative work environment along with excellent benefits that include 100% sponsored medical/dental/vision benefits for you, stock options & bonus potential, 401(k) w/company match, paid vacation/sick/holidays, support for continuing education, on-site fitness center, and our own waterfall café.   We invite you to view our Career Video! http://www.view-career-video.com/videos/genprobe/ You can learn more about us and may apply online by visiting:  http://www.gen-probe.jobs   When you join Gen-Probe, you'll be part of a global leader in nucleic acid tests development.
