Lead Laboratory Technician
World-class genomics laboratory and global industry leader in DNA analysis seeks to fill a position for LEAD LABORATORY TECHNICIAN. Successful candidate will process test specimens through DNA quantitation, normalization, multiplex PCR for short tandem repeat analysis, mtDNA sequencing & data collection. In addition, duties include directing the work of other Laboratory Technicians and Assistants through demonstrated leadership, following SOP’s and safety requirements, perform/assist in the training of laboratory employees and to assist the Laboratory Supervisor with administrative duties as needed.
Required: BS in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Biology or related field 2 years experience in laboratory with emphasis in Biotech industryStrong leadership, dependability and ability to multitask and troubleshoot
Preferred:BS in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology or Biology with 2+ years experience in a lab with this emphasisComputer and Microsoft applications proficiencySupervisor or Management experience
