Due to our extended growth, we currently have a need for the following position:Maintain EMCS and related HVAC equipment (including instrumentation and controls), performing repairs and preventative maintenance as necessary. Address HVAC related alarms and report findings. Respond to maintenance work requests and change controls relating to HVAC. Maintain accurate records of all activities and ensure accuracy and backup of EMCS data.?Investigate weekly alarm reports for the EMCS system and generate reports to QA. ?Participate in review of HVAC-related alarms and suggest corrective actions to decrease frequency or eliminate. ?Perform backup of EMCS trending data for archiving. ?Assist in preparing SOPs for EMCS and HVAC related issues. ?Respond to maintenance work requests (MWR) and change controls within the area of responsibility. ?Prepare change control documents related to facility systems. ?Assist in evaluation of the HVAC systems performance and modifications. ?Maintain facility EMCS system operation and records.?Assist in HVAC commissioning and validation efforts within the facility.?Interface with contractors to maintain state-of-the-art HVAC technology within the facility.?Recommend system upgrades to improve facility HVAC.?Participate in establishing adequate spare parts inventory for the HVAC equipment and systems.?Maintain proper documentation for the HVAC equipment and systems.?Perform repair work and maintenance, including preventive maintenance, on all HVAC-related equipment and instrumentation and controls. Shire is committed to providing high quality, competitive, and appropriate health care benefits for employees and their families.Shire is an Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer.Requirements: ?Technical degree in Mechanical Engineering / HVAC or equivalent experience?Experience in troubleshooting complex HVAC systems and controls?Experience with computer systems, software, and consultation, including: Johnson Control PMI and M5 Control software?In-depth knowledge of various HVAC control systems, chillers, and fundamentals of HVAC?Understanding of instrumentation and PLC controls systems and the effect on process/HVAC systems including, but not limited to: HVAC Pro, DX, VAV, UNT Controllers, Allen Bradley (AB) PLC 5 / 500 PLCs, Rosemount transmitters, Micromotion flow measurement systems, Fisher Control Valves, process air flow measurement and calculations?Good organizational and communication skills?Working knowledge of Windows operating systems, Wonderware, MS Office, MS Project, PC databasesApply to Shire
