Laboratory Technologist
Must have a BS in either Biology or Clinical Laboratory Science.
Technician shall have sufficient training /experience to be able to perform the duties of a Laboratory Technician to include, but not limited to the following:
Performs qualitative and quantitative testing in a high complexity clinical laboratory using various analyzers and/or manual methods on specimen sources such as blood, urine, and other body fluids using established procedures.

Processes biological fluids (blood, urine, and other fluids) in accordance with established procedures.
Â
Maintains positive identification of final report and specimen from time of receipt until final report is released.
Â
Recognizes and reacts to instrument malfunctions by troubleshooting and resolving minor problems, performs routine and periodic maintenance of all equipment as scheduled, and performs routine Quality Control (QC) to ensure all QC results fall within established control limits, as well as documents all corrective action.
Â
Inputs patient results into the Laboratory Information System and records new lots of reagents and runs appropriate quality control prior to releasing patient results..
Â
Performs CAP surveys as directed.
Â
Recognizes panic or abnormal values and performs the appropriate follow-up action.
Â
Cleans and performs temperature checks of refrigerators and centrifuges and complies with all applicable safety regulations.
