Manufacturing/Production/Operations Reference Code: 711264 Laboratory Technician II - (Job Number: 0809872) DescriptionOrtho Clinical Diagnostics, Inc, a member of Johnson && Johnson's Family of Companies, is currently recruiting for a Laboratory Technician II, located in Rochester, NY Ortho Clinical Diagnostics, Inc. is a leading provider of high-value diagnostic solutions for the global health care community. Committed to developing the most advanced tests for early detection or diagnosis of disease, the company brings products to market that provide timely information and help to facilitate better medical decisions. The Laboratory Technician II will operate medical diagnostic equipment, per approved processes, in order to release the equipment from a regulated manufacturing environment. Must be able to follow documented processes and procedures around assay protocols (laboratory test to find and measure the amount of a specific substance). Must interact with other functions across the organizations in support of the release of the product to customers. The Laboratory Technician II must be able to multitask activities on more than one analyzer at a time. Individual module testing as well as system testing is part of the job responsibility. Experience with the Microsoft suite of software tools is a must. The position will take direction from operations supervisory staff as well as manufacturing and quality engineering. Must possess strong verbal skills and be able to assist manufacturing technicians when an analyzer is malfunctioning. Strong documentation skills are vital to the success of the position. Position will be expected to work on various analyzer models depending on volumes. May perform additional duties as assigned. A minimum of an Associates degree is required. A minimum of 2 years experience is required. Must be detail oriented and have strong written and verbal skills. Prior experience with lab testing skills is required. Experience with adhering to strictly controlled standard operating procedures (SOPs) is required. Must be proficient with using Microsoft Office suite and possess computer skills sufficient to quickly learn internal computer systems. Must work with a sense of urgency to complete testing to production schedules. Knowledge of ISO, FDA, QSR practices and procedures a plus. Must have the ability to work in a cross-functional / cross-organizational team environment. This position will be required to work rotating shifts and overtime hours, as needed, is required.
