Laboratory Associate  -  Scientist

OpGen, a Gaithersburg, MD biotechnology company is commercializing a novel single molecule DNA analysis technology for the rapid identification of microorganisms.  We are experiencing rapid growth and as a result are seeking a dynamic, energetic, hands-on Laboratory Associates to become members of our team in our Gaithersburg location.

You will be preparing samples and performing high molecular weight DNA extraction from bacterial cells using microbiology and molecular biology methods in a team environment.

The position requires a BS in molecular biology, microbiology, biochemistry, biology, chemistry or related discipline with up to 2 years laboratory experience.  Previous experience in a cGMP laboratory is a plus.  Recent college graduates are encouraged to apply.
