Lab/Test Technician - Medical Devices Company
Kelly Scientific is seeking a talented individual to take on the role and responsibility of Lab Technician for a Hayward based medical device company. This is a great chance to work in Product Research and Development with a great company.Purpose: Responsible for the assembly and testing of prototype, pilot, and scaled up products, materials and components. Conduct experiments and trials to further the development of new products.Responsibilities: 1) Assemble and prepare materials, devices, parts, components, subsystems and overall systems to further the development of new products and approaches.2) Conduct test and validation/verification on methods, equipment, cassettes and instrumentation.3) Assist in process testing to determine product performance.4) Perform routine calibration and maintenance of instruments and equipment. 5) Perform inspection and test of materials and equipment.6) Collect data and maintain records and documentation; and record results and anomalies accurately and in compliance with GMP and SOPs.7) Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds and have close and color vision.Requirements:1) High school diploma and 2+ years previous experience in an industrial manufacturing or medical device company.2) Experience in precision assembly and capable of fine manual dexterity. Experience with the assembly, testing and qualification of clinical products.3) Basic math including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. 4) Ability to read, interpret and follow routine technical instructions. Basic familiarity with GMP. 5) Experience in the use of a routine mechanical and electrical measurement tools, such as calipers, height gauges, surface plates, multi-meters, and precision weighing machines. 6) Ability to work with microscopes and perform soldering. Ability to record measurements and observations. 7) Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. 8) Basic computer skills using MS Office and Outlook. 9) Must be able to read, write and speak English.To be considered for this position, click the 'Apply Now' button to submit your resume.
