Novartis Manufacturing Reagent Area of Technical Services supports Manufacturing, Clinical Manufacturing, QA/QC, Development and R&D groups with reagents.Reagents are solutions, buffers, cell culture media, powder mix, and agar plates used by scientific personnel to perform investigation, testing and manufacturing of Novartis products.
Duties: Lab Associate II will prepare high quality reagents according to schedule. Responsibilities include:Accurately record data to maintain area documentation, following all Standard Operating Procedures, (SOPs), working in compliance with Novartis policies, regulatory (GMP, QSR, ISO) and safety requirements of reagent area.Maintain laboratory equipment such as balances, mixers, pH and conductivity meters, automatic dispensing equipment, water systems, etc.Ensure sterility of reagents by using aseptic techniques, filtration or autoclaving procedures.Work as part of a team and in an environment with shifting deadlines.Learn various types of production.QualificationsRequirements: AA degree with 0-1 years of laboratory experience or a H.S. Diploma with at least 2 years of laboratory experience. Good verbal and written communication skills, with ability to read, write and understand English. Aptitude to execute basic mathematical calculations. Strong organizational skills with ability to document work accurately and pay close attention to detail. Basic computer skills (MSWord, Excel, Outlook); capability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs. and stand for long periods of time.Novartis Vaccines & Diagnotics is a new division of Novartis consisting of two businesses focusing on the development of preventive treatments and tools.
