Lab Assistant / In Vivo Pharmacology
Growth opportunity
Sirtris, a GSK company, is developing small molecule drugs that target the sirtuins, a recently discovered family of seven enzymes associated with the aging process. Modulation of these enzymes offers the promise of drug discovery in multiple therapeutic areas.
We are looking for an entry-level Pharmacology team member to become part of a highly focused, multidisciplinary drug discovery team where you will assist in preparing for and conducting in vivo experiments. Responsibilities include: rodent handling, including rat and mouse compound administration via PO, IV; formulation preparation accurately using analytical balance and pipette; use of Excel, Word, GraphPad, and PowerPoint for data entry, graphing, and slide preparation; occasional weekend work may be required. There is room for growth and increased responsibilities in this position.
BS in Animal Science or related field and 1 or more years of animal handling experience is required. Experience in rodent handling and drug administration by multiple routes is preferred. A desire to work with animals and ability to function effectively alongside other members of the team is essential. This candidate should be highly motivated and driven to produce quality research.
Join Sirtris where we are creating revolutionary medicines for diseases of aging. We hope you will see this as a unique opportunity to work in a fun, collaborative, and creative environment with leading edge science.
To apply, please forward your resume to careers@sirtrispharma.com .
