IT/MIS Coordinator

This position will be responsible for providing administrative support to the IT/MIS department and Management Team.  Requires strong knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software tools (MS Powerpoint advanced user).  Ability to create documents and/or reports from general instruction or data sources, as well as analyses of other departmental reports.  Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Create and develop departmental presentations and reports to be used in communication efforts within Roche Diagnostics Informatics. Prepares presentation documents for internal and external audiences, containing complex data and content.  Must be an advanced user of MS Powerpoint.

Attends weekly IT meetings, creating official meeting minutes and follow up with owners to maintain action items.  Must be able identify those action items and follow up on status of action items to completion.

Plan, Direct and coordinate training and development programs for department or others within the organization.  Negotiate training both on-site and off-site, negotiating course content and cost.  Act as Training Coordinator for the Department, maintaining a training file for each employee documenting training and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Maintain supervisor's daily calendar, schedules appointments and conferences, makes necessary arrangements. Verify expense reports to ensure accuracy.  Receives materials prepared by others for supervisor's signature to assure procedural and typographical accuracy.  Update and distribute monthly departmental newsletter.  Process purchase requests, capital equipment requisitions.

Prepares written correspondence containing technical content for both internal and external audiences.

Associate's degree or 5 years experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Bachelor's preferred.

Experience in supporting technical teams and IT related employee communications preferred.

Must be a an advanced user of MS Powerpoint and will be required to demonstrate this level of proficiency.

Individual must be a self-starter, requiring minimal supervision. 

Must be extremely detail oriented with ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the company employee base. 

Excellent verbal and written English language proficiency in business presentations, correspondence, documentation and other communication mediums.
