IDBS ABASE DBA

FOR IMMEDIATE CONSIDERATION PLEASE SEND YOUR RESUME TO JOHN.JORDAN@MODIS.COM Major Central NJ based Modis client has an immediate need for an IDBS ABASE DBA: At this time I am looking for an experienced Consultant with heavy IDBS ABASE DBA knowledge. DBA: Manage scientific IDBS ABASE Activity databases where job function includes modifying existing databases and database management systems; review procedures in database management system manuals for making changes to database; review project requests describing database user needs; specify users and user access levels for each segment of database; supervise or perform the installation and testing of new products and improvements to computer systems, such as upgrade of existing systems; develop methods for integrating different products so they work properly together, such as customizing commercial database products to fit specific needs; identify and evaluate industry trends in database systems to serve as a source of information and advice for upper management; revise company definition of data as specified in the data dictionary; train users and answer questions; work as part of a project team to coordinate database development and determine project scope and limitations and provide support. Application Management: Manage applications where job function includes develop, create, and modify general computer application software or specialized utility programs, analyze user needs and develop software solutions. Design, create and customize software for client use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency. Development often includes incorporating statistical analysis into software Intranet Management: Job functions include administrator web server, ensure applicable standards such as HTML validity and link liveness are met, optimize the web architecture for navigability, take editorial responsibility for the content, quality and style of the site creates and installs tools to create web content and check consistency; develops and enforces the house style and provides user support.
