HR Director opening for growing Med Ed Company in Warren!

Phoenix Group Holdings, LLC is a full service medical education company that specializes in developing and executing promotional  and CME medical education tactics.

Phoenix Group is the holding company of two subsidiary companies including Phoenix Marketing Solutions and Scius.

 

We currently have an opening for a stand alone HR Director to help our growing business.  These position will report into the company owner and enjoy working in a fun and entrepreneurial atmosphere.   We are conveniently located in Warren, NJ (exit 36 or 40 off Rt. 78).

 

General Summary:

 

Support the Phoenix Group’s business by providing and leading human resources management for all subsidiaries. Implement core human resources programs including: performance development and review, employee relations, compensation planning, employee development, and employee life cycle management.  This is a supervisory position that involves administering human resources policies, programs, and practices.  Heavy interaction with senior management by recommending human resource policies and practices.

 

Fundamental Duties and Responsibilities:

 

Complete responsibility for the human resource functions throughout all Phoenix Group companies.

 

Recruitment and Selection

· Responsible for the development, administration and effectiveness of the recruitment program.  Works within the company budgets to staff accordingly.

· Interview with all job candidates in order to provide leadership feedback.  Influence hiring decisions to ensure the appropriate hire to meet business and organizational needs.

Performance Management and Development

· Assess employee needs with respect to performance management and develop solutions to maximize performance management usage and value to the organization

· Support employee and management development by identifying training needs, facilitating training programs, and liaising with all levels of management to support individual or group development needs

Employee Lifecycle Management and HR Transactions

· Manage role profile creation and maintenance to ensure complete and accurate descriptions of work.  Communicate role profile creation policies, guidelines, and processes to company.

· Conduct 90 day and exit interviews, analyze and communicate results and trends to Senior Management; recommend changes and actions as appropriate.

· Develop, facilitate and continually improve the new employee orientation program. 

Employee Relations

· Proactively influence managers to identify and aggressively resolve employee relations issues. Review issues and proposals with Senior Management.

· Coach managers according to the company’s performance correction policies, practices, and processes.  Enter conflicts where necessary and work to establish consensus.

Compensation and Rewards

· Consult with Senior Management on year end compensation decisions affecting merit pool and adjustment pool. Drive managers towards budget compliance and distribution consistent with employee performance.

Human Resource Management

· Promotes the company at all times both internally and externally.

· Maintains permanent personnel records.

· Provides public information such as verifying employment.

· Participates on employee committees and special projects and seeks additional responsibilities.

 

Minimum Education and Experience

 

· Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management or related field.

· Seven (7) to ten (10) years generalist experience in the Human Resources field.

· PHR or SPHR certification

· Prefer Human Resource experience in the medical education and/or pharmaceutical industry.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

 

· Advance knowledge of the principles and practices of human resource management.

· Must have advanced knowledge of computers including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, internet applications and HRIS.

· Excellent written and oral communication.

· Ability to develop long-term plans and programs and to evaluate work accomplishments.

· Ability to apply and adapt practices and techniques to the requirements of senior management.

· Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with other management staff, employees,

· Ability to present facts and recommendations effectively in oral and written form.

· Ability to handle confidential information with the highest degree of sensitivity and confidence.

 

Working Conditions

 

· Business hours 8:30 am – 5:30 pm

· Flexibility to work late when needed

· No travel required
