HANDS ON - PLANT CONTROLLER

National consumer packaged goods manufacturer is seeking progressive, innovative Controller to join our team!

We are searching for a hands-on  - roll up your sleeves, high performance PLANT CONTROLLER to lead the accounting and finance team objectives associated with daily operations of a state of the art manufacturing facility. This talented individual will ensure adequate policies and procedures that provide for the protection of company assets are in place, maintained and followed . Provides accurate and timely financial information and analysis that allows plant leadership to make rational and data based decisions. Partners with the Plant General Manager to determine short and long term strategies concerning profitability, efficiency, and other matters.the month-end closing process, monitoring the cost accounting system, some accounts payable and other general accounting functions of a small to medium sized manufacturing and high speed packaging facility.


ADDITIONAL EXPECTATIONS INCLUDE:Assists plant management in decision making process that allows for cost reduction, improvement performance, etc. Management of General Ledger, Cost, Inventory, Fixed Asset, Accounts Payable, Payroll & Personnel functions Financial reporting and analysis to Corporate. Departments Monitors, approves and analyzes plant spending and cash outflow Responsible for control & checks for the plant’s financial position and request for justification Responsible for all charge back to suppliers for downtime and defective materials

SELECTED CANDIDATES WILL POSSESS:Degree in Accounting, CPA, MBA or other advanced degree/certification a significant asset in position Prior experience of at least 5 years in an Accounting Management and/or Controller level position in manufacturing Must be visible on the production floor, partnering with plant leadership, leading cost initiatives, identifying improvement opportunities. Solid experience in MRP software/accounting systems and software - heavy Excel use.Comfortable with data management Must demonstrate a high sense of urgency and thrive in fast-paced, deadline-oriented environmentAbove average communicator
