With a deep and broad pipeline of potential new medicines, we continue to advance science to serve patients.Asia Operations Alliance Lead – Senior ManagerThe purpose of this role is:—To coordinate within Operation and,as needed across Amgen, interactions with our Asian partners and work within Amgen and with partners to define standard methods and processes for our shared work to ensure supply to the Asian markets thru the most efficient supply chain possible. Key Activities—Coordinate product teams within partner company—Lead cross functional project teams to create standard processes and procedures for Amgen as a contract manufacturer for Asian markets —Drive key issue resolution including cost/benefit analysis to find optimal solutions to supply Asian territories—Develop and use project plans to coordinate and report progress—Communicate proactively with stakeholders and sponsors regarding project progress, issues, and plans for resolution—Coordinate submissions and launches with partners, serve as internal project lead—Organize and track cross product projects and issue resolution—Be responsible for demand consolidation and communication—Will coordinate Amgen GOTs that are involved with a single partner and be accountable for alliance governance systems—Facilitating regular meetings of GOLs and TA heads involved in the partnerships to ensure rapid identification and resolution of issues.—Coordinate with partners and internal Amgen departments site visits, audits and inspections—Provide input to monthly Japan/Asia dashboard and raise issues immediately if needed.—Timely communication of project status to stake holders —Work with other Alliance managers to drive best practices for dealing with partners within Operations and across Amgen—Willing to travel extensively to Asia—Bachelor’s degree in engineering, life or physical sciences; advanced degree preferred in science, engineering, or business —5+ years in project management or related functional experience within Manufacturing, Process Development, or Quality—2+ years experience working with Japanese companies—Strong leadership skills—Strong project management skills—Experience on large cross-functional teams, preferably in a leadership capacity—Demonstrated ability to forge and maintain strong relationships with multiple functional areas—Ability to tactfully and effectively negotiate and influencePreferred Qualifications—MBA—Asian experience in biopharma industry—Multiple Asian and English language skills—Understanding of local regulations and/or application of area of specialty in Asian region—Willing to travel monthly to Asia—Understanding of Amgen systems Amgen is the leading human therapeutics company in the biotechnology industry.
