We’re currently looking for team members who have “The Power to Look Deeperâ€� in developing the best products, technologies and service. We are currently seeking a Global Marketing Manager, Women’s Health who will develop and implement marketing and product life cycle plans to drive demand for Gen-Probe’s women’s health products. The position reports to Director, Women’s Health and requires strong organizational skills in achieving results.  The key focus of this position is the launch of the APTIMA HPV Assay into the potential $1 billion HPV testing market and future line expansions for the business segment.  ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: *Develops and implements Product Life Cycle Plans for the business segment product portfolio for domestic and international markets.*Develops and maintains relationships with customers and industry thought leaders including lab, physician, government and non-governmental organization stakeholders.  *Collects and analyzes voice of the customer information ensuring that product and service offerings support the critical market and customer needs.*Provides leadership in New Product Core Teams in close collaboration with Project Leaders and Project Management Organization.*Develops worldwide market analyses and implements the resulting strategies and tactics for the 1-5 year period including product positioning, market-based pricing, profitability, marketing communications, competitive intelligence and market research.*Collaborate with Sales Management to provide creative sales and marketing programs supporting a direct Sales Team for budget achievement.*Leads key marketing activities including advisory boards, congresses, workshops, educational materials, and identification of scientific study requirements driving product adoption. *Supports development of annual/5-year Sales Forecasting, Expense Budgets and other Sales/Financial reporting.*Supports in-house supply chain activities including alignment of Sales and Marketing’s S&OP forecasts on a monthly, annual and 5-year plan basis.  *Reviews and develops marketing-generated sales training materials ensuring clarity and achievement of training objectives including key contributions at major Sales Meetings.*Participates in Product Quality Committees, Complaint Review Boards and Product Support as needed.  EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: *Bachelors Degree in Sciences required, MBA strongly preferred (Marketing emphasis a plus)*8+ yrs marketing/product management experience in IVD or medical device industry required.  HPV knowledge helpful.*3+ years sales background required *Molecular diagnostics background preferred*Experience in new product development and phase gate development processes required*Women’s Health experience/background a plus*Demonstrated organizational effectiveness*Computer skills – Microsoft Office - PowerPoint, Excel, Word, MS Outlook  Gen-Probe offers a dynamic and innovative work environment along with excellent benefits that include 100% sponsored medical/dental/vision benefits for you, stock options & bonus potential, 401(k) w/company match, paid vacation/sick/holidays, support for continuing education, on-site fitness center, and our own waterfall café.   We invite you to view our Career Video! http://www.view-career-video.com/videos/genprobe/ You can learn more about us and may apply online by visiting: http://www.gen-probe.jobs/  When you join Gen-Probe, you'll be part of a global leader in nucleic acid tests development.
