Finance Manager

POSITION SUMMARY

Providing financial partner support to the Sales & Marketing business
organization, IBS, and other G&A type functions.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Functions – the position is responsible for:
1. Financial Planning & Analysis: 30%
a. Provide Accounting and FP&A support for Sales & Marketing
organization
b. Provide Accounting and FP&A support for various General &
Administrative Positions, including IBS
2. Business Partner Role: 40%
a. Develop and enhance a value added relationship with S&M functions and
staff – help them to better understand the role of Finance as a Business Partner
b. Establish and Participate in Key Business Partner Activities
i. Monthly Business reviews (MBR) participant
ii. Other teams as opportunity arises
c. Develop solid relationship with the Decision Support Group – help provide
seamless support to S&M managers
d. Provide lead support for proposed customer pricing deals (Channel Mgt Group)
– provide Channel deal team support (also categorized in #3)
e. Provide support for Medical Affairs activities
3. Financial Management and Analysis 30%
a. Provide comprehensive review/input to sales discounts and revenue model
b. Gain solid understanding of incentive compensation model and participate in
the development of any additions or changes
c. Work in conjunction with Mfg Finance Manager to analyze Cubist distribution
model - provide lead contact with S&M
d. Take lead and support roles as required for various finance projects and ad
hoc reporting


QUALIFICATIONS

• Education/Certification: Bachelor’s in finance-related capacity

• Experience: 8+ years, biotech / biopharm experience is a plus but not necessary

• Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Proficient with Excel, Oracle based programs
