Field Service Engineer, Genetic Screening

The Opportunity:  The Field Service Engineer helps PerkinElmer customers enhance the productivity of their laboratory processes and drives high levels of customer satisfaction by performing on-site maintenance, calibrations, repairs and validations of newborn genetic screening equipment. They complete assigned preventive maintenance calls at customer sites within prescribed time frame and established performance standards. Engineers also provide for key account expansion, inventory maintenance, sale of new maintenance contracts, upgrades and instrument leads.

 

Requirements:  The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in chemistry, electronics or a related discipline and 2-3 years of relevant experience.  Direct customer service skills, strong written and verbal skills are necessary; as well as a proven self motivated work style.  Must possess a valid driver’s license.
