Field Based Medical Science Liason
We are currently working with a Global Medical Device Company to identify experienced Field Based  Medical Science Liaisons with specific knowledge of Coagulation and Immunoglobulin.  The well qualified candidate must hold an advanced degree in Nursing, Pharmacy, Medicine or Science.  Work will be done in California, so candidates in or around this state would be preferred.
The field-based Medical Science Liaison/Scientific Specialist (MSL/SS):
·       Leverages in-depth medical-scientific knowledge, clinical expertise, and professional position from within the medical community as a credible peer to cultivate and integrate substantive relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), clinicians, academic institutions, professional organizations, and patient advocacy groups, rendering:
o       Strong advocacy by these external customers for products
o       Participation and execution of clinical and product research (and the publication of such research)
o       Advisory for, and involvement, with product life-cycle management initiatives
o       Safe and effective use of  products
o       Outstanding company awareness and the establishment of a reputation as a collaborative scientific partner
·       Manages critical relationships with KOLs and external customers through the compliant exchange of complex scientific information related to areas of research, product development, and commercialization.Â
·       Pairs the research and educational needs of external customers with available resources; provides the unique service of disseminating current and emerging data in response to specific healthcare professional inquiries; and delivers expert disease-state and technical product education.
·       Understands and balances clinical objectives with  business priorities creating a positive impact on product utilization, product innovations, and growth. The MSL/SS does so by serving  cross-functional teams as a conduit for accurate and updated medical-scientific information, medical-scientific intelligence, emerging clinical trends, and customer feedback.
·       Provides internal stakeholders with a scientific foundation and expert medical-scientific resource with which to optimize their performance through the development and execution of targeted individual and group disease-state and product education initiatives.
·       Fulfills project team leadership roles on select internal and external projects.
