With a deep and broad pipeline of potential new medicines, we continue to advance science to serve patients.Amgen is currently seeking a Feasibility and Patient Recruitment Manager for their Global Clinical Site Management (GCSM) area to work at their site in Thousand Oaks, CA.Job Summary:The Manager, Feasibility and Patient Recruitment will, with guidance from his/her manager, set project timelines and priorities based on project objectives and ongoing assignments. There are many responsibilities key to successfully executing this role including: participation in cross-functional meetings with customers/stakeholders to develop and execute the strategy for the feasibility and patient recruitment/retention process; clearly communicating to all stakeholders, via regular updates, the timing, goals and objectives of the feasibility process; ensuring the timely analysis & delivery of high quality feasibility results with stakeholders; representing the group on cross-functional/interdepartmental teams and task forces and cultivating and maintaining relationships with stakeholders. In addition, this individual will be expected to: participate in continuous improvement in efforts; assist in the development of departmental training plans/schedules; stay abreast of the latest external developments in feasibility & drug development and contribute to advances in the conduct of the global feasibility process. He/She will also escalate any resources or training issues which may have an impact on the productivity/effectiveness of the group, maintain thorough therapeutic knowledge of key Amgen products, serve as a consultant (subject matter expert) and advisor to study teams and regions to help them maximize their enrollment rates, evaluate (subject recruitment) vendor qualifications, track and report the impact of enrollment forecasting and recruitment strategies while communicating lessons learned and manage the inventory of recruitment vendors and study specific tactics. This individual will also be expected to display detailed knowledge of international clinical research and drug development, subject recruitment regulations (e.g. privacy laws, allowable incentives, direct to patient advertisement) and organizational change management process.Basic Qualifications:- Bachelor's Degree in Life Sciences or appropriate discipline- A minimum of 4 years experience in a pharmaceutical environment and a minimum of 1 year experience in a Patient Recruitment/Retention environment. Preferred Requirements: - Advanced Degree preferred- Experience in patient recruitment/retention- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills- Ability to plan and work on projects with minimal supervision- Ability to train and mentor new colleagues- Effective at working with colleagues from all departments and organizational levels while meeting commitments.Additional Information: Travel Percentage: 5% Amgen is the leading human therapeutics company in the biotechnology industry.
