Facilities Logistics Coordinator

Accountabilities have an immediate for a Facilities Logistics Coordinator to support pharmaceutical company in Durham, NC

 

General Summary

This position involves facilities maintenance and overseeing completion of all facilities work orders.  In addition to routine maintenance and repair of facility mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, routine maintenance and repair of equipment, as well as scheduling and overseeing outside contractors to perform advanced maintenance, repairs, and facility or equipment modifications or installation.

 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

· Complete Service Request

· Assist facilities manager with the CMMS system, entering equipment repairs, preventive maintenance schedules, etc.

· Along with other Facilities Technicians monitor building mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems for example electrical generator air compressors, refrigeration system, for proper function and operation.  Perform basic repairs and with some direction, schedule and coordinate with outside contractors for maintenance and repairs.

· Assist with the installation of new equipment and perform routine maintenance and basic repairs as necessary.

· Record, calculate, and maintain detailed records of maintenance and equipment parameters.

· Under direction of supervisor, revise and develop SOPs for equipment and procedures as needed.

· Ensure all safety and precautionary procedures pertaining to assignments are followed

· Ensure spare parts and supplies are in stock or on order.

· Work closely with related dept’s in meeting their needs, such as installing utilities such as electrical power, compressed air, receptacles, and data lines.

· Along with other Facilities Manager support the building’s security system.

· Conduct weekly and monthly safety inspections while also working with the Site  Safety Officer to eliminate and reduce safety issues.

 

Job Specifications

· High School degree or equivalent required

· HVAC, Refrigeration,  Electrical and  Plumbing knowledge preferred

· Previous commercial facilities maintenance experience necessary

· 5 years experience desired

· After hour coverage which includes working weekends if needed.

· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

· Valid drivers license

 

Working Conditions:  

-Exposure to all facets of building operations for example, climbing above false ceilings, outside projects

-Exposure to Poultry
