FORMULATOR

Reporting to the Process Development Manager, the Formulator will use problem-solving techniques to resolve process difficulties, reduce waste, improve productivity and safety, and assist in training. Make recommendations to the PPT Services Manager regarding the above items. Along with Pharma R&D counterparts, develop, scale-up and transfer of new products to the site. Provide technical support to site operations. Provide technical support for maintenance and manufacturing personnel for supported processes. Investigate new technologies and their application to manufacturing processes. Assist in development of Outsourcing projects.Requirements: Education required/ preferred: Required is a BS degree in Pharmaceuticals, Chemistry or Engineering. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot pharmaceutical operating equipment and support equipment. Pharmaceutical Formulation experience and or scale-up experience with solid and liquid dosage formulations. Prefer candidate to have minimum 3-5 years experience.Experience: This job requires strong written and verbal communication to include technical communication skills, both written and verbal, to accurately convey technical issues and information. Understanding of solid and liquid pharmaceutical formulations and hands on experience in the manufacture of pharmaceutical products.
