Nutshell Description:
Highly visible & challenging Global Drug Safety/Pharmacovigilance leadership position responsible for the Respiratory Therapeutic Area (TA). Lead Drug Safety/Pharmacovigilance strategy for the TA, direct & manage a team of experienced Medical Doctors (MDs), and work closely with Sr. Executive Management across functional areas (e.g. Clinical Development, Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs…).
Location: Parsippany, NJ Metro Area

Responsibilities (In a Nutshell)
Lead the global strategy for Drug Safety/Pharmacovigilance activities for a major TA (Respiratory), and lead/direct/develop several experienced MDs on your team. Interact/communicate with Sr. Management in multiple therapeutic areas and located throughout the world regarding Drug Safety/Pharmacovigilance matters. Represent the Company and Drug Safety/Pharmacovigilance within the Company and outside the Company (e.g. at conferences, meetings…)
Qualifications:
· MD
· 7 or more years (prefer 10+) of drug safety and/or clinical development experience gained working in industry for a Pharmaceutical Company, Biopharmacetucal Company and/or CRO
· Proven track record of leadership (i.e. directing/managing other professionals, interacting with and influencing others (e.g. Sr. Management, peers…) and interacting/coordinating with multiple functional areas
· Pluses include (not required): Respiratory TA experience, Board Certification, working in a larger Global Pharmaceutical Company (i.e. experience working in a more complex/matrixed organizational structure)
