Engineering/Facilities Manager

A Southern California biopharma manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Engineering/Facilities Manager to perform engineering projects and to manage the Facilities Department in the design, construction, implementation, maintenance and improvement of manufacturing equipment and processes. 

 

Primary Responsibilities:Researching and recommending new equipment and/or manufacturing processes.Utilizing design control for implementation of projects and processes or for improvements to product/processes.  Making recommendations for process/procedure improvements that will result in better efficiency, cost reduction, and improved quality.Preparing and approving protocols and reports related to design control activities.Managing the Facilities department.Assisting manufacturing with production floor issues related to the manufacturing process, including investigating customer complaints.Writing and reviewing departmental procedures.

Qualifications:B.S. in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering, Biology, or Chemistry.5-7 years of experience in a R&D or manufacturing engineering role preferably in a medical device, pharmaceutical, or biological industry.3+ years of supervisory experience.Knowledge of GMPs, ISO.Knowledge of ECO/ECR systems.Design control experience.Ability to read schematics and blueprints.
