Main responsibility is designing and maintaining power supply and high power control modules used in life science instrumentation. Also might be assigned projects associated with digital and analog subsystems. Perform detailed design, including board layout, fault analysis, costing, and DFM and testing. This position also requires some ability to collaborate with other life sciences related disciplines in bringing products to market. BSEE or Equivalent.5+ years power supply design, familiar with off-line SMPS up to 1 kW and DC/DC converter required, knowledge of off-line linear power supply a plus. Lab skills and practice for high voltage up to 500 V measurements using various instruments required. PADs/PadsLogic or OrCAD and PCB layout skills required. Basic control theory or signal processing theory required. Familiarity with UL/CSA/TUV/CE requirements a plus. Knowing basic digital design including uP, RAM/ROM, CPLD/FPGA is beneficial. A strong team player spirit required.
