Electrical Engineer
Client specializes in the production of pharmaceutical and medical devices is seeking a Electrical Engineer. The Electrical Engineer will provide support for specific on-going Surgical Products Engineering Projects, involving new designs, revisions to existing designs, or sourcing support. Products include embedded controls and printed circuit boards, sensors, and harnesses. Activities involve design, documentation, test, and sourcing / implementation support.
Job Duties:
-Sufficient knowledge and experience with embedded controls, printed circuit boards and electrical hardware to perform the essential job functions listed with respect to those products
-Quickly learn and become familiar with existing products, designs, and specifications
-Evaluate requests for design modifications and component substitutions with respect to current product specifications, intended product functionality and cost. Make recommendations regarding such requests
-Prepare documentation required for secondary sourcing initiatives
-Answer technical questions and information requests from potential suppliers
-Support implementation of alternate product suppliers
-Write test protocols and summarize Engineering data to evaluate product performance in life cycle, safety, and efficacy testing
-Create or modify required product documentation, including requirements specifications, product specifications, drawings, test protocols and test reports
Required Experience/Education:
BS in Electrical Engineering
3-5 years applicable experience
Knowledge of AutoCAD; Experience with PCB layout software a plus (ORCAD preferred)
Experience with Regulatory & Code Agency compliance a plus
Excellent communication (verbal & written) and presentation skills
