ERP and SQL Database Administrator

Irvine Scientific, located in Orange County, is a technological leader in the production of tissue culture, reproductive media, and cytogenetic products.  We are seeking an experienced ERP and SQL Database Administrator to install and maintain all SQL databases including the ERP database.  This includes configuring, maintaining, supporting and optimizing all activities relating to all SQL based applications and participating in the training of end users.

 

Responsibilities include:

·Maintaining, monitoring and administering all SQL based applications including the ERP system.

·Creating reports using Crystal and SQL Reporting.

·Implementing and maintaining database security and user roles.

·Managing batch processes, disk space utilization, table size, memory usage and other system components for maximum uptime and performance.

·Retrieving and archiving of ERP data.

·Managing software release planning and deployment.

·Maintaining database, including monitoring, tuning, and upgrading.

·Creating, documenting and testing ERP disaster recovery procedures.

·Creating and maintaining desktop instructions and help desk problems and solutions.

 

Qualifications:

·BS/BA in Computer Science or IT related field.

·Minimum 3 to 5 years as Database/Systems Administrator and ERP application support.

·Technical background with HP-UX, Linux and SQL server administration.

·Crystal and SQL Reporting experience.

·Experience working in FDA regulated environment.

·Knowledge of database and program design and change control.

·Understanding of business functional areas and relationship to ERP software.

·Knowledge of major desktop applications.

·Experience with Windows servers and workstations.

·Networking infrastructure maintenance and troubleshooting experience.

·Good oral and written communication skills.
